What is Rolfing

Rolfing is a hands on method of soft tissue manipulation and movement education which works to release stress patterns from the body helping it to become more balanced and symmetrical.

Using a variety of techniques, Rolfing systematically softens and lengthens the areas of the body that are tight and “bound up”.

The goal of Rolfing is to help you move and function with greater freedom and effortlessly maintain an upright posture.

The standard Rolfing process is done in a series of 10-12 sessions that progressively work through the entire body starting from the outside and slowly working deeper into the core layers of muscle and connective tissue.

As a result the body comes into a state of dynamic balance, feeling lighter and longer while at the same time being connected and grounded.
