I have been practicing therapeutic bodywork since 1999 and in 2003 I received my Rolfing Certification from the Rolf Institute in Boulder CO. Since then I have been living and practicing in Scottsdale AZ.
My approach to Rolfing comes from the basic principle that the human body is a self-healing organism. When all the parts fit together, move freely and are functioning properly then health and well being become our natural state instead of pain and discomfort.
Whether I am helping someone with chronic pain or helping someone train for a marathon this basic principle is the underlying foundation for all of my work.
I feel that it is best to create a unique Rolfing experience that appropriately meets the needs and concerns of each individual. This allows for much needed flexibility and freedom in creating a treatment plan.
Within the Structural Integration framework I will often use craniosacral release, visceral (organ) release, and joint mobilization techniques. This allows for the profound results that Rolfing is famous for without being so painful.
When I am not Rolfing people I spend as much time as possible exploring wilderness in the Desert Southwest and the Great Rocky Mountains inspecting trees, cactus, rock, and sunsets.
